In what is perhaps its most intense episode yet,  Africa Magic’s relationship-focused reality TV show,  Love Come Back introduces us to Adaeze Rogers and Takim Abang.

love come back

The ex-couple’s love had gone sour after Adaeze ghosted Takim on their wedding day back in February. After months of barely any communication between them, Adaeze now wants him back. And here’s where Ibrahim Suleiman and his Love Come Back team come in.

But first, a quick look back at their relationship.

Adaeze, an entrepreneur and real estate agent from Abia State had met Takim at a friend’s party in 2016. They quickly became close and developed a relationship. Shortly after, Adaeze lost her parents and just when she felt she needed him around the most, Takim had to travel out of the country.

They lost touch, much to Adaeze’s chagrin,  but she moved on eventually and met someone else who she later found out was already married but not before he got her pregnant. She broke off things with this second man and went on to have her baby.

A few years later, Takim came waltzing back into her life, and not even the fact that she had a baby by another man could deter him. He proposed marriage and she accepted, even though she wasn’t entirely sure he was right for her.

On the eve of their wedding which also happens to be the last time they spoke; she developed cold feet and ran away from the hotel where she was lodged with her bridesmaids.

Their wedding day arrived, and she was nowhere to be found and all attempts to reach her proved futile.

Fast forward to a few months later, and she has come to the realization that she didn’t exactly handle things right. She still loves him and wants another shot at their relationship.

With the help of Ibrahim Suleiman and the Love Come Back team, Takim was lured out for an intimate picnic under the pretence that he was coming to do a product evaluation.

All hell was let loose when he found out it was Adaeze behind the whole plan. He could barely control his anger and not even her apologies or explanations could change his mind.

He recounted the embarrassment he faced in front of his friends and relatives who had travelled all the way to Lagos from their various homes to watch him get married, and the pain and heartbreak he felt after.

Adaeze and Takim’s love has gone so irreparably sour that not even Love Come Back’s magic wand could save it. But as Ibrahim would say, you win some, you lose some.
