Some concerts you go through life reliving – 100 Percent Live was one of those. It was a night of beautiful performances and a generally enjoyable ambience. Grab a pack of popcorn because it’s story time.
The show started with normal sound check from the media team and live band, while the audience were busy networking, taking pictures (but what’s an event without pictures and lot of selfies) and spending their money on some good food because there were lots of vendors to patronize.
Sunny Naija, an upcoming artist, kicked off the show with an awesome performance which set everyone in the right mood for some good music.
Just when we were getting over Sunny Naija’s stunning performance, guess who came on stage? Mr. Rich and Famous! If that name doesn’t ring a bell then I put it to you that you’re not of this world.
Praiz‘s vocal range is a force to be reckoned with and he gave it all in performing all his hits – Folashade, Sisi, Stupid Song and our all time favorite, Rich and Famous. We just couldn’t get enough of him and the crowd kept cheering, it was just so beautiful.
After Praiz’s performance, we were fully ready to be simified as much as possible and thank God the first lady of X3M Music didn’t disappoint, she even gave us jara.
Simi came on stage looking gorgeous in a two-piece red outfit paired with a white shoe. Her red outfit made us realise Valentine is still in the air. She started the evening with some afro juju vibe, it’s safe to say she came with enough energy for the night.
Simi serenaded the audience with her soft beautiful voice and showed us she’s the life of the party.
Now it was time for Adekunle Gold, but I have to say something at this point. If you’ve ever wondered why Adekunle is Gold, then you need to watch his live performance because he’s a wonder on stage. Pure gold!
AG shining bright in a gold coat, black pants and his signature hat started his performance with a Fuji cover of ‘Stay With Me’ by Sam Smith that totally blew us away.
He took us through Sade, Money, Ariwo Oko, Ire and ended the show with a cover of Bob Marley’s hit song “One Love” which he performed alongside Simi and Praiz.
100 Percent Live didn’t start at the time scheduled but we can ignore that because we enjoyed every bit of the night.
