If you suspect your partner of being up to something suspicious, it can be easy to read into every small thing they do as a potential red flag.
But there are also plenty of suspicious looking things that aren’t what they seem at first glance.
If your guy does one of these things, there’s probably nothing to worry about. If he’s doing every suspicious thing possible… well we’ll leave that up to you.
1. He covers up his phone when you rush up and try to see what’s going on
He’s not hiding some secret girlfriend from you. He’s hiding the fact that he was buying you a gift online. He of course wanted to keep it a surprise which certainly explains why he would hide his phone.
2. He locks the door to the bathroom
Apparently, this can be shady. Wanting to use the toilet in peace isn’t a red flag though. Whatever weird thing you think he’s getting up to in there, he’s just going to the bathroom. Sure, maybe he’s sexting some other girl or something, but why do it there? With you home?
3. He doesn’t answer texts for a long time
He might be somewhere without telling like out at the club, some random girls’ place… Or he just fell asleep. People fall asleep at night. If it’s midday, he could be in a meeting at work.
4. He doesn’t introduce you to a lot of friends or family
There are reasonable explanations for this. He might not be close to his family or have many friends or at least friends that live nearby. Although if it’s been months and you have yet to meet another person in this dude’s life, yes, that is suspicious as hell.
5. His phone is always “dead”
Sure, this could be a clever lie so that you never see he’s got other women hitting him up, but odds are more likely that he’s just forgetful about charging it, or he just has a super old phone that doesn’t hold a charge for very long.
If you’re really suspicious, buy him a portable charging bank so he has no excuse. Worst case, he’s a liar. Best case, he’s a nice guy with a great new gift.
