5 Times Toyin Aimakhu Has Actually Surprised Us On The Red Carpet

It’s Toyin Aimakhu‘s birthday today and we’re celebrating by looking back at the five times the actress who usually comes off as crass – for lack of a better word – showed up on the red carpet looking very refined, surprisingly.

There were plenty critics who didn’t like this look, this writer isn’t one of them. Granted, there were one or two things that needed fixing in the 2207 By TBally dress – like the bust area and the length of the  basket supporting the ball skirt. But, I was wowed by this look, mainly because I wasn’t expecting it at all and partly because, no matter how you choose to look at it, Toyin looked absolutely amazing.

The 2016 AMVCAs

At the awards the previous year, Toyin was a picture of elegance in a black off-shoulder dress. This is definitely one of her all time best looks.

London Fever Premiere

Wearing a dress by Ibadan-based designer, Modior for the premiere of London Fever in August, 2017.

My Wife & I Premiere

The fit of this Modior number she wore to the premiere of Omoni Oboli’s ‘My Wife & I’ is not exactly right or maybe who ever styled her forgot to smoothen out the dress before she posed for this picture but this wasn’t a bad look either.

As A Wedding MC

This look wasn’t for a red carpet event but I couldn’t help sneaking it in because I loved it. Everything, from the short hairdo to how the 2207 by TBally dress hugged all the right curves totally banged.
