#BAFEST2018: Tiffany Amber Shows Us Why She Remains A Major Force After 20 Years In Fashion

Tiffany Amber is a lesson in longevity and relevance, and last night was proof.

The designer who recently marked her twentieth year in business deployed models to the Born In Africa Festival runway in pieces that were fiercely feminine and exquisitely tailored.

The mesh fabric which she seems to have embraced lately made a number of appearances either as overlays on other fabrics or as the main thing.

Exaggerated sleeves and deep necklines were recurring features in the collection which had kimonos, wide-legged pants, maxi, midi and mini dresses in colors ranging from black to yellow, green, blue, purple and pink – a hot pink midi number with multi-colored embellishments around the waist area was the star of the collection for this writer.

As the models sashayed to a thrilling performance by Kizz Daniel in designs that can hold their own in any part of the world, one thing was clear to every keen observer, Folake Coker isn’t letting go of her throne in the nearest future. And rightly so.
