About Time! Naomi Campbell Is Finally Getting The CFDA Fashion Icon Award

You’d think that with all her achievements and strides in Fashion, Naomi Campbell would have gotten this recognition a long time ago, but oh well, better late than never.

The 47-year-old supermodel has just been announced as this year’s Fashion Icon by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).

Naomi joins other famous people including Rihanna, Beyonce, Kate Moss, David Bowie and more who has received the award in the past.

Speaking on the honour, the British supermodel said, “It is truly an honor to be recognized by the CFDA with this year’s Fashion Icon Award. Being from London, my personal style has always been tremendously influenced by both the dynamic, ever-changing nature of street culture and the music scene. I grew up in this industry and I’m forever grateful to the iconic American fashion designers who have supported me and celebrated me throughout my career.”
