Alexis Ohanian Doesn’t Mind Being Called Serena Williams’ Husband

The name Alexis Ohanian Sr. might not ring a bell but when you hear Serena Williams’s husband your interest is raised.

Alexis has come out to say that he doesn’t mind being referred to as “Serena Williams’ husband”.

The 35-year-old cofounder of social media site Reddit, was asked which he gets called more, Serena Williams husband or Reddit founder and his response was hilarious.

Depends where I am:
SF (usually): "You're that guy who startedReddit/Initialized Capital"
LA: "That guy I saw once on TV on that talk show?"
NY: "Brooklyn!! You're that investor always repping NY tech"
VA: "Wahoowa!"
FL: "Next in line, please"

Another Twitter user went on to ask if he gets provoked being called Serena Williams husband and he replied that he doesn’t mind at all

I don't mind at all.

Only a few hundred million people use @reddit every month and only a small percentage of them know who I am.

(Far, far more people have cheered for my wife; specifically, for the last two decades)

He further went on to explain why he isn’t,

And even if @Initialized ended up being one of the greatest VC funds of all time (that's the goal), the contribution to the world — let alone recognition — isn't close to comparable to what my wife has done and will continue to do.
