The titans are here, and they brought the culture, glam, and vibes to the stage at the premiere of the first ever Big Brother Titans (BBTitans) on Sunday, January 15, 2023.
Although it was expected that each contestant would give us the uniqueness of their individual cultures with their style, the housemates went in a different yet similar approach.
Every housemate had a hint of African pieces in each of their outfits. Not only highlighting their individual cultures but finding ways to incorporate the South African and Nigerian cultures to bring about a cohesive fashion statement of unity by using face paintings, traditional beads, and other accessories.
Although everyone stood out for their unique reasons, some housemates had an edge over the rest.
Kanaga Jnr
The vibe was immaculate from the very beginning. From his smooth leg work that we would love to see at the Saturday night parties to his choice of outfit, footwear, and styling, he showed that he was ready for a platform like BBTitans. Style to wow fans, dance moves that can make him the topic of discussion on Saturdays, and a vibe that would appeal to a lot of people.
Nelisa
As soon as she said, ‘I think the viewers can expect chaos’, the chaos began. She seemed very confident during her walk-in, and it showed in how she dressed. Nelisa wore a short velvet dress with floor-length sleeves and a headpiece as an accessory. She simply looked elegant.
Thabang
Thabang came on the screen, and everyone had to take a second look. First because of how young he looked and second because of how well he looked. He was cool, calm, collected and seems to be bringing the Gen Z vibe, but he is not overdoing it – something that is proving great for his game.
Ebubu
For the first time in Big Brother history, we got a housemate who is an albino. It once again proved why representation would always matter for minorities in society. Aside from that, he also seemed very energetic and outspoken, a characteristic that would definitely make him stand out.
Yemi Cregx
If we choose not to pay attention to the way he strutted on stage, his suit was one of the best outfits of the night. The black suit set was embellished with black studs, and the face painting just made the whole outfit stand out. And that’s exactly how you make an entrance.
Khosi
Khosi looked like she was coming straight from the runway with her dress and hair laid to perfection, and we loved it. The South African, who is unarguably one of the best-dressed housemates of the launch night also brought the vibe to the stage.
