All You Need to Know About ‘The Headies’ 2015

It’s The Headies season, and as activities gear up towards awards night, here’s all you need to know about the event which is organised by Hip TV.

• The event will hold on Wednesday December 30 at the Landmark Events Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

• As usual, the event will be flooded by the crème de la crème of Nigeria’s entertainment industry including superstar musicians, A-list Nollywood artistes, media personalities and many others.

• Only music released between July 2014 and June 2015 was eligible for nomination, according to the owner of Hip TV, Ayo Animashaun.

• Some of the nominees this year include Wizkid, Cohbams, Timi Dakolo, Bez, Don Jazzy, Asa, Yemi Alade and several others.

• Voting has begun, so to view the nominees and to vote for your favourite talents in the respective voting categories, visit www.theheadies.com.

• This year, 5 upcoming acts will be selected from the public nominations in the Rookie Contest, and the winner will get to perform on Awards night.
