ARISE Fashion Week Day 2 Review: The Leaders Of The Pack!

Yesterday was the second day of ARISE fashion week and it brought even more interesting collections with more designers. Here are my best collections from the lot;

Floor length numbers and symmetrical cuts, Imade Eduso‘s collection was fluid and subtle.It’s a perfect pick for any woman who wants to look decent and at the same time interesting.

Ilàré had the audience cheering before they made an appearance and when they finally hit the runway, it wasn’t hard to see why. It brought the new fashion rave; a combo of poly and net poly. The collection features funnel sleeves, plunging neckline, front zipper, puff sleeves and everything in between. It stood out, completely.

Kimono Kollection was absolutely lit, more so that former Big Brother Naija housemate Leo Da Silva filled the place with excitement as he strode the runway. This collection also had the audience cheering before they made an appearance. It brought hats, checkered fabrics, shades, sharp cuts, boots, exaggerated sleeves, dull colors, trench coats, blazers, tuxedos, sweatshirts, robe, kimono, geometrical cuts and there was serious attention to details. It is a contemporary street style.

Orapeleng Modutle was beautiful and absolutely feminine. There were gowns of different designs, strapless, ball, flowery, flowing, sheer, floor length, polka dots, velvet et all and lots of frills. The gowns were accentuated with French nets. The collection was completely elegant and graceful.

With Tzar‘s collection came bold colors, scarves, oversized numbers, loose hanging pieces, dress shirts, stripes, and layering. Retro and firm!

Perhaps it was because there is something very bold about black or because there was Naomi Campbell and Oluchi among the models, or even because of the wicked slits, Tiffany Amber‘s collection was fierce and sophisticated. Fur, sheer, poly net, drop puff sleeves, French net, frills, and satin in the right mix. Completely perfect for the modern day fashion forward woman who hates to be tagged as boring.

With frills, symmetrical cuts and flap, conventional kimono jacket, braid belt and colour pop, Style Temple lived up to its name with its collection on the ARISE runway. I love! Flamboyant, contemporary and serious completely describe it.

Kenneth Ize brought masculine sophistication. Stripes, colour mesh, bold jacket, and scarf, this collection is boldly retro. Wrap pieces, Ankara, dress shirt featuring slits, scarf, and patterns dominated this collection. There was an experimental pairing of different fabrics that came out nice. This collecton is fab!
