#BAAD2017: The Worst Dressed List

When it comes to style, and wedding style in particular, Nigerians always, always go all out. Everyone tries to outdo the next person and stand out with their outfit. But sometimes, in trying to outdo the next person, things can go from bad to terribly wrong, and #BAAD2017 had its fair share of terrible.

Topping the list of worst dressed celebrity guests at the wedding of the year is producer Masterkraft, who I, for the life of me, couldn’t understand what was going on

Some of our Twitter followers (jokingly) suggested that his tailor might have disappointed him, some others were of the opinion that the couple probably ran out of asoebi and just gave him the remaining one yard of fabric to manage. LOL

This was a MESS – one we hope we never see again.

A classic case of when trying to be different goes terribly wrong. There was way too much drama going on with the OAP’s getup – the oversized gele, the bow on the shoulder. Perhaps it wouldn’t have been so bad if one of the dramatic details was left out, but as it is, nah ma’am!

Lilian Esoro

I usually love Fablane by Derin’s pieces, but whoever told her that it was a good idea to put that gigantic detail on Lilian Esoro’s dress didn’t have her or the actress’s best interest in mind. That and the long weave didn’t do Lilian’s entire look any justice.

Perhaps if the hair were swept away from her face, or if she had converted that fabric fold into a head wrap…

All shades of wrong – the dress and that makeup. I literally cannot!

For some reason this dress didn’t do it for me. The colour of the sheer sleeves seems off or maybe it just didn’t photograph well.
