Black Panther Stars To Feature In The Adaptation Of Chimamanda Adichie’s Book ‘Americanah’

Black Panther stars Lupita Nyong’o and Danai Gurira will reunite to adapt Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie‘s book Americanah into a Television miniseries.

Several years ago, Nyong’o acquired the rights to adapt Americanah, and while it was originally planned to be a movie, the novel will be made into a miniseries instead.She’ll play female lead Ifemelu in the miniseries version, while Gurira has signed on to write.

Chimamanda won the 2013 National Book Critics Circle Fiction award for the novel which was published on 14 May 2013.
