Chanel Had A Beach Themed Runway For Its SS19 Show

Chanel isn’t new to having theatrical and destination themed runways for its fashion shows but their latest show beats them all.

For the SS19 collection, Karl Lagerfeld transformed the Grand Palais into a beach themed runway with inspiration from the Riveira.

The ‘runway’ had beach sand, waves from the ocean, a driftwood photography pit complete with a faint rocky mountain view and a hunky lifeguard. Models also walked the runway barefooted with some holding their footwear in their hands, all in the spirit of the beach.
