Chimamanda Adichie’s Instagram Is Basically An Ode To Nigerian Designers, But Is She Snubbing The Big Names?

Chimamanda Adichie made her official debut on Instagram last month, April 6 to be precise, and her page has been pure fashion delight.

Her Instagram bio reads, “Writer. Project ‘Wear Nigerian.’ Account managed by her nieces Chisom and Amaka.”

A quick perusal of her Instagram page reveals that ‘Wear Nigerian’ is exactly what she’s doing.

The award-winning writer uses the picture sharing platform to showcase not just her slightly quirky and chic style but her love for Nigerian labels.

Labels, big and small, are undoubtedly falling over themselves to dress the revered writer; and while the fashion savvy author definitely has the final say on what she wears or not, a good part of what makes it into her wardrobe will depend on Ezinne Chinkata who curates most of what she wears.
