Denola Grey, Ini Dima-Okojie, Idia Aisien, DSF & More Celebrities Share Their Red Carpet Essentials Ahead Of AMVCA 2018

The African Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards is perhaps the biggest awards event in Nigeria. It’s often described as Nigeria’s Oscars, and the red carpet is just as much of a big deal as the show itself – if not bigger. It’s little wonder then that the stars leave no stone unturned when it comes to their red carpet looks.

Ahead of this year’s edition which takes place on September 1st, 234Star asked a few of our favourite red carpet stars for tips on getting ready for the big night. From their pre-red carpet routine to their go-to designers and more, read all their secrets to smashing their red carpet appearances below.

234Star: What is your pre-red carpet routine like?

“The week leading up to a red carpet event can get a little “eventful”. Lol. I enjoy styling myself, so I make sure I have all the pieces I need ready. I also have detailed conversations with my glam team to be sure we’re all on the same page. Then I try to sneak in a facial a few days to the event. And everything else is hopefully a breeze.”

234Star: What’s the one thing you must have on you during a red carpet appearance?

“Blot paper!!! My T zone gets oily really easily, so a good blot paper to dab my face is key for me.”

“Nigerian designers have generally been killing it, and I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with a number of them. If I had to pick just one though, it’ll be FablaneByDerin.”
