Donald Trump Announces He Will Beat Oprah Winfrey If She Runs For President

Following the reignited call for Oprah Winfrey to go for the Presidential run after she gave a very empowering speech at the Golden Globes Award Show on Sunday night promoting the “Time’s Up” movement against sexual harassment and assault, the United States President, Donald Trump has announced he will beat Oprah.

Trump, speaking with reporters during a White House meeting with lawmakers on Tuesday, said in response to a question: “Yeah, I’ll beat Oprah. Oprah would be a lot of fun.

“Oprah will be a lot of fun,” Trump said, noting that he knows Winfrey ‘very well’ and appeared with his family on one of the final episodes of “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”
“I did one of her last shows. She had Donald Trump — this is before politics — her last week and she had Donald Trump and my family, it was very nice,” the President said.
In a 1999 interview with Larry King, he said she would be “always be my first choice” for a running mate.
“She’s popular, she’s brilliant, she’s a wonderful woman,” he said at the time. “It would be a pretty good ticket.”
President Trump has in the past shown admiration for Oprah tweeting in 2012, “I adore Oprah”
