Executive Styling 101: The Tricks For Transitioning From Day To Night Looks

The moment you get your first corporate job, you are bound to start experiencing the ‘I don’t have what to wear moments’ especially for hangout and weekend outfits. Infact the words hangout after work or hangout this weekend would most likely get you running to the nearest fashion store even when your closet is filled with ‘corporate wears’. Trust me I’ve been there and know that feeling.

So in order to avoid these moments, I’ll be sharing a few tips on how you can easily make those seemingly corporate wears  work for not just day but evening and even weekend functions

Start By Getting The Right Outfits

Being a fashionista starts with the ability to select amazing pieces and incorporating them into your closet. From basics to more complex pieces, there’s something for every occasion. It’s not enough to just limit your purchases to Suit, blazers and camisole because lifestyle  fashion is way beyond that, especially if you intend going outside the office every now and then. It’s okay to have jeans, colourful blazers, pencil skirts, cullotes, the list is endless. If you’re not sure of what to get, try hiring a stylist or going with close friends/colleagues to the store sometime

LBD is a Must Have

A little note on the Little Black Dress, it’s an indespensible wardrobe stable. You’ve probably heard that before but it can’t be over emphasized. Thanks to Givenchy, every lady can with the LBD switch from official to Nightout look, A day at the office might need you to leave the blazer on but night time is the  sure time to take it off. So if it seems like you never have anything to wear after work, then It’s time to invest in an LBD

Heels are your best friend

Ever wondered why some ladies seem to look well put together, don’t look too far, it is in the heels. So if you’re looking about that glam life after work, you can place your bet on so quality  pair of heels. A note o caution though, comfort should not be compromised, so it’s better to go for the inches you can conveniently move/socialize in.

Finish off with the right glam

Don’t know about you but what comes to my mind when I hear the right glam is a power makeup, not just the regular two minutes makeup but the one with details, lips, contour, lashes… Invest in quality beauty products if you can’t afford a makeup artist for every outing.

Finally make sure when you’re stepping out the door for that nightout you look nothing like the lady behind the desk. Like seriously. Step out fabulous!
