Fashpa’s Ijoya Editorial Pays Homage To The Ancient City Of Ibadan

Womenswear brand, Fashpa takes on a new territory with their new editorial tagged, ‘Ijoya‘, exploring more traditional designs whilst not letting go of the modernity and fashion-forwardness they’re known for.

Fringe and pearls were incorporated into more traditional details like hand woven Aşǫ Oke, lace, and organza to create demure pieces for the contemporary African woman.

According to the label, the Ijoya capsule is “inspired by the pomp and pageantry of Nigerian weddings but for a new muse who wants ready to wear fashion, classic and always beautiful.”

The editorial was shot in Ibadan by Ademola Odusami and features fast-rising Nigerian model Elizabeth Ayodele. Check it out below!
