Film Studio Executive, Harvey Weinstein Fired After Sexual Harassment Allegations

One of the biggest producers in Hollywood, Harvey Weinstein has been fired from his own company after being accused of sexually harassing female actresses and employees.

The Board of Directors of The Weinstein Company issued a statement saying “In light of new information about misconduct by Harvey Weinstein that has emerged in the past few days, the directors of The Weinstein Company have determined, and have informed Harvey Weinstein, that his employment with The Weinstein Company is terminated, effective immediately.”

His departure comes after New York Times published a report about Harvey engaging in rampant sexual misconduct.

Harvey and his brother Bob Weinstein own 42 percent of the company.

According to one of the four company’s board member Lance Maerov he doesn’t know what will happen with Harvey’s share yet.
