Gigi Hadid Is Apologizing For That Melania Trump Impression She Did At The AMAs

Gigi Hadid caught a lot of flak for her impression of US President-elect Donald Trump‘s wife, Melania Trump at the recently-held American Music Awards.

Gigi who co-hosted the event alongside Saturday Night Live’s Jay Pharoah had given a flawless but exaggerated impression of Melania’s famous Michelle Obama plagiarised speech.

“I love my husband, President Barack Obama and our children, Sasha and Malia,” the 21-year-old model said with a pout and an accent like the First Lady-in-waiting’s.

But this didn’t sit well with a lot of people who described the model’s action as racist and disrespectful with some even asking her to stick to modeling as acting or hosting isn’t her calling.

Following the outrage, Gigi took to her Twitter to render an apology to all those who might have felt offended by her action saying it was all done in good humour and that she has also been at the receiving end of a comedy skit that poked fun at her.
