On Saturday night, a massive number of people trouped to Eko Convention Center in Lagos to witness the grand finale of God’s Children Great Talent gospel show, #GCGT7.
There were 10 amazingly gifted young talents who had emerged finalists for the grand prize of a N250m management deal, cash prize of N10m and a brand new car. As fate would have it, 19-year-old Esther Benyeogo, a singer with the voice of an angel was crowned winner.
The undergraduate student at University of Benin couldn’t contain her tears of joy as she broke down and praised the Lord for bringing her this far.
Just in case you missed the show, the night started with a group performance of all ten finalists. This was closely followed by two amazing rounds of individual performances from each contestant. Guests, family and friends of the contestants, who witnessed the show were thrilled as they watched a blend of unbelievable performances in different expressions of talent that included rapping, drumming, singing, dancing and spoken word.
11 year old Nengi Jaja, the little boy with a big voice came third with a hefty reward of N1m while 8-year-old Anderson Peter who mastered the saxophone in just 11 months emerged second and was rewarded with a cash prize of N2m.
The GCGT Season 7 winner, Esther Benyeogo will begin her foray to the bigger stage of ministration.
