We Know It’s Lemonade Season, But Let’s Not Forget Papa Wemba, Lil Kesh’s Betrayal, and Brymo’s ‘Klitoris’

We know Queen B has declared open the Lemonade season, and while we are all fascinated by the miracle that is Beyonce, let’s not forget about some of our own i.e Papa Wemba, Lil Kesh and Brymo.

Not exactly sure which to dwell on first Lil Kesh and Lupita, or Lil Kesh as Judas. Hmmm…let’s start with the bad news, Lil Kesh as Judas.

Remember earlier this year when Olamide put his reputation on the line by throwing a tantrum because his ‘boy’ Lil Kesh was ‘cheated’ out of an award at the Headies? Well, turns out the reason for the 1st and still most epic (as far as we are concerned) celebrity beef of 2016, has just left the YBNL label. We don’t know why, but as far as we know, that’s a low blow Bro…

So what’s the moral lesson? You guys should figure that out yourselves.

On the flip side, it’s not all bad news for Lil Kesh, as Hollywood’s golden girl Lupita Nyong’o shared a video in which she was jamming to his song ‘Efejoku’, which made us think about sinners and redemption, amongst other things.

Moving on, it’s no secret that Brymo is seriously underrated, (and it’s not his fault, let’s blame it on Chocolate City) but we are hoping that will change with his soon to be released album ‘Klitoris’.

Yeah you read that right, and we are hoping that for nothing else, the album title will make Nigeria pay attention. Plus the album art is pretty dope too.

Lastly, we wouldn’t want to blame Beyonce for this, but it won’t be wrong to say that because of her ‘Lemonade’ craze, Africa never truly got a chance to mourn legendary African Musician, Papa Wemba, who collapsed while performing in Ivory Coast.

This is not to say we don’t love Beyonce, cos we are waiting for the release of the Lemonade visual album like….
