Meghan Markle’s Makeup Artist Was Apparently Thanked Repeatedly By Prince Harry Because Of Wedding Look

When it came time for Meghan Markle‘s makeup artist to decide on a look for the most important day, Daniel Martin decided that the most important thing was making her look like herself. Apparently, Prince Harry loved the finished look.

“After the ceremony Harry kept saying thank you,” Daniel told InStyle. “He was thanking me for making her look like herself.”

Martin said he wanted it to be anything but trendy. He went for timeless and classic.

“The last thing you want [is] to look at your wedding pictures and go, ‘Remember when highlighting was the rage?’ ” he said. “At the end of the day, you want to look like your best self.”

And she definitely did look like her best self. When she got to the altar, Prince Harry said “You look amazing.”

When Martin saw Markle after the wedding to do touch-ups, he said he was overcome with emotion because of how beautiful everything was.

“That’s when I started crying,” he explained. “It was the first time [she] was able to be there in person. It was almost like she looked at me and said, ‘What did you think? How’d it go?’ And I lost it. It was so moving and so perfect and the day couldn’t have been better.”
