Melania’s Style Just Might Be The Only Good Thing About Donald Trump’s Administration

The D-day is finally here (D here can mean, Donald or Dreaded – whatever suits you). Donald Trump becomes the 45th President of the United States today but this post isn’t about The Donald, it is mostly about the beautiful woman he calls wife, Melania – or at least her style.

The incoming first lady isn’t like any we’ve seen before; add that to the fact that Michelle set the bar really high. But while she might not match up to Michelle‘s eloquence or Hillary‘s brilliance, Melania has repeatedly demonstrated that she can more than hold her own when it comes to personal style.

Lots of top designers – Tom Ford, Naeem Khan, Marc Jacobs etc, have made it clear that they have no interest whatsoever in dressing the incoming First Lady and even though I see that changing in the nearest future, I do not understand why they’re punishing Melania for the ‘foolishness’ of her husband. But Melania is paying these designers no mind. She’s proving that she can do good all by herself, with or without a designer’s endorsement.

Melania, if reports are to be believed, does most of her styling herself  and with a background in modelling, it’s little wonder that she continues to impress with her impeccable style. Like last night when she stepped out looking like a vision in a golden number that flattered her modelesque frame for her husband’s pre-inaugration dinner.

Or that gorgeous white dress she wore when she delivered that unfortunate speech last year while campaigning for her husband.

The future of the United States under Trump, from the media’s point of view, looks very bleak but if there’s anything everyone can agree to, it’s that Melania’s excellent sense of fashion makes it look bright – even if it’s just a little bit.
