Former first lady of the United States of America, Michelle Obama has just had her first interview since she left the white house on The Ellen Show and had a lot to say about their new life.

On Thursday’s broadcast of the show as the host Ellen DeGeneres kicked off her 60th birthday celebration, the former first lady talked about life after leaving the white house, disclosed what the gift she got from Melania Trump is, her fears over the current state of U.S. affairs, and a lot of other issues.

Talking about her present life, Michelle said,”I wake up when I want to wake up. I, you know, I got myself all gussied up to come here. Came out of the basement. It’s just like what? Come out of the house?” she joked. ” But we’re doing great. The girls are good, Barack is working, we’ve got projects going, so we’re staying busy and traveling. We’ve had some fun.”

She also said her husband Barack Obama got the smallest room in their new home, “He got so shortchanged on this whole deal. He doesn’t have enough closet space…sorry!
