Oprah Winfrey gave a very empowering speech at the Golden Globes Award Show on Sunday night promoting the “Time’s Up” movement against sexual harassment and assault and ever since, there has been a reignited call for the 63-year-old media mogul to go for the Presidential run come 2020 with hashtags #Oprah2020. This is however not the first time Oprah has been associated with the White House bid.
On Monday morning, CNN said the celebrity was ‘actively thinking’ about a run, according to two of her close friends who requested anonymity. Some of her confidants have been privately urging her to run, the sources said.
According to CNN its sources said the conversations with Oprah dated back several months. The person emphasised that the star had not made up her mind about running.
Talking abut the development, Opah’s best friend Gayle King said, “I do think she’s intrigued by the idea, I do think that,”
