The 2019 Social4Media Masterclass organised by Lagos based marketing and media company, ID Africa and marketing technology startup, Plaqad, held at Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos on Wednesday, September 4, 2019.
At the free digital skills training event, over 50 media professionals, including journalists, bloggers and storytellers, were trained on how to improve their digital skills and have a deeper understanding of technology tools, in order to successfully innovate and grow in their respective career.
The event was attended by professionals and experts from the fields of marketing, media and tech which included OAP Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi, Comedian SLKomedy, Kraks Media Founder Femi Bakre, BBC Journalist Princess Abumere, and Zikoko Editor-in-Chief Fu’ad Lawal. The speakers and facilitators all shared useful insights, using case studies, to provide practical tools for participants in order for them to effectively leverage opportunities that digital media offers.
Other experienced tech experts who provided useful tips and answers to participants’ questions at Social4Media are BBC Growth Editor Michael Okeje, Facebook Ads expert Ken Ndubuisi, Co-founder Natural Girl Wigs Yemi Johnson, ID Africa Product Manager Ehima Prince and Marketing Strategist Kayode Abass.
Speaking on the successful second edition of the masterclass, ID Africa CEO, Femi Falodun said “It was important to provide insights and techniques to help our friends in the media in using digital tools and social media to grow their businesses.”
Social4Media Masterclass, which is also supported by BlackHouse Media (BHM) first held in November 2017. The maiden edition featured presentations by MI Abaga, Alibaba, Frank Donga, Osagie Alonge, Tomiwa Aladekomo, Yemi Adamolekun, Ayeni Adekunle and others.
