Prince William & Kate Middleton Name New Prince Louis Arthur Charles

The new royal baby’s name is out.

Prince William and Kate Middleton have named their baby Louis Arthur Charles. The announcement was made via the Kensington Palace official Twitter account. “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their son Louis Arthur Charles,” the tweet read. “The baby will be known as His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge.”

The choice of name is particularly interesting because big brother George’s middle name is Louis. But it wouldn’t be the first time this would be happening in the royal family, as in the past, the royals have used the same name for different members of their immediate family.
