So Fancy! French President Macron Spent Over 11 Million Naira On Makeup In 3 Months

French President, Emmanuel Macron is shaming our makeup game and we don’t even know how to feel about it.

According to a report by Le Point, the French president spent €26,000 (which is over 11 Million in Naira) on makeup in 3 months. (What?!)

Macron’s personal makeup artist reportedly “put in two claims for payment, one for €10,000 and another for €16,000, for doing his makeup during his travels and ahead of press conferences.”

In a statement to clarify the issue the presidency said they “called in a contractor as a matter of urgency” and assured that the spending would be “significantly reduced in future.

According to a representative, “the sum covers various services including press conferences and foreign trips where the person concerned has to travel with him.”

But as fancy as Macron is, his predecessor, François Hollande was even fancier and spent more on his beauty routine. The Guardian reports that Hollande was caught  “forking out €30,000 for makeup, topped off with a monthly €9,895 bill for a personal barber to cut and dry his thinning hair.” The presidency has justified the cost saying the hairdresser had to “get up early and fix the president’s hair every morning … and as many times during the day as necessary”.
