A French woman by the name of Brigitte Lahaie has caused an outcry for criticising the #MeToo movement and saying that some women enjoy being raped.

Brigitte who is a porn star-turned-agony aunt, made this claim on a French Television saying that some women have orgasms when they are raped.

According to The Times, the 62-year-old who gave relationship advice in a popular call-in programme has however apologised for causing offence saying she ‘my remarks were taken out of context’, while still repeating her view.

She said, ‘What I meant to say – because I know matters of sexuality by heart – is that sometimes the body and the mind do not coincide.’

#MeToo spread virally as a two-word hashtag used on social media in October 2017 to denounce sexual assault and harassment, in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations against Harvey Weinstein, a Hollywood movie producer.
