The brunch, which was organised to officially announce the entry of the brand into Nigeria, kicked off with a word from the CEO and founder, Suzzie Odeniyi, also known as Suzzie D. She stated:

“We have created this platform in order to help young girls achieve their dreams. We are not just in search of the typical size zero girls but curvy girls who are the ideal Nigerian woman. We hope to find the best girl who can use the opportunity to create a platform to inspire young girls in Africa. We want them to know that that it is possible for them to have big dreams and achieve them, that they can be anything they want to be once they put their minds to it. We are more than just a beauty pageant!”.
