The Duchess of Sussex sparked a shopping frenzy when she was spotted in a £400 ($328) dress at the wedding of Prince Harry‘s friend over the weekend.
Meghan looked chic in a colour block dress from Canadian brand Club Monacoas she accompanied Harry to the nuptials of his childhood friend Charlie van Straubenzee at St Mary the Virgin Church in Frensham, Surrey, on Saturday.
Within hours of the appearance, the dress was completely sold out online and the product page was no longer available to view.
It is the latest example of shoppers being gripped by the so-called ‘Meghan effect’.
The Duchess of Sussex, who was celebrating her 37th birthday on the day, won praise from royal watchers and fashionistas for her stylish, low-key look at the service.
Meghan paired the pleated Shoanah Dress with a low-key black fascinator from Philip Treacy.
She finished the ensemble with an elegant pair of £547 Aquazzura Deneuve pumps, which featured pretty bow detailing on the heel.
