The Melanin Was Popping Severely On The Tommy Hilfiger X Zendaya Runway At Paris Fashion Week

Zendaya collaborated with Tommy Hilfiger on a stunning collection which showcased at an even more stunning show during the ongoing Paris Fashion Week.

The show which was staged at the Theatre des Champs-Elysees in Paris paid tribute to the legendary 1973 Battle of Versailles fashion show which saw American designers who had until then been deemed as not up to par, go head-to-head with their French counterparts.

But instead of 10 black models as seen in the 1973 show, Zendaya went for an all-black model cast. From Jourdan Dunn to Halima Aden, Winnie Harlow, Tami Williams and more, the runway was filled with Black Girl Magic in all of its glory and different shades.

The show which was not only size-inclusive but age-inclusive, saw iconic supermodels like Pat Cleveland, who had walked in the original Battle of Versailles show, Beverly Johnson, Debra Shaw, Veronica Webb, Beverly Peele, and to top it all off, a dancing Grace Jones who looked nowhere near her 70 years of age closing the show in a gold bodysuit and metallic blazer.

And the collection itself? It boasted of a heavy 70’s influence and a departure from Tommy’s athleisure DNA.
