Babies, as cute and awwww inspiring as they seem, are no joke. Raising a child is probably the most difficult thing you will ever have to do. It’s a task that requires a level of commitment and dedication that a lot of people simply cannot afford, especially when you’re young and still trying to figure out what the heck to do with your life.

The adorable Instagram photos, make up just about 0.5 percent of the entire motherhood story. No one tells you about the sleepless nights, the emotional rollercoaster and all the other non-Instagrammable moments that come with it.

Our advice? The next time you feel yourself developing a baby fever, go babysit your neighbor’s for a weekend or try checking the prices of baby food in a market close to you. Either one the two will surely set you right.
