Taxify drivers are currently holding a protest in Lagos saying they are not rapists and need respect from riders.
They are holding placards that reads, ‘We are not rapists’, ‘We are partners in the business’, ‘We are not kidnappers’, ‘We are the sole of this business’, ‘Driving is a professional job’, ‘No driver partners, No Taxify, No Uber, No Riders’, and others.
This is following the recent incidence between actress Dorcas Shola Fapson and a Taxify driver Udeh Henry Nnaemeka where she accused the driver of rape and attempted kidnap and he denied the claim threatening to sue her for defamation.
