2baba to perform at AMVCA for Second Time in the Prestigious Award’s 7-year history

Africa’s music superstar and multiple award winning singer Innocent ‘2baba’ Idibia will be performing live at the seventh edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCAs) which holds at the Eko Hotel & Suites on Saturday, March 14, 2020.

It will be the second time the singer will be performing at the AMVCAs, following his appearance at the prestigious awards gala in 2015. 2baba’s phenomenal music catalog and stellar stage performances that have spanned over two decades makes him a worthy selection to thrill guests and viewers at the event where Africa’s top movie stars and filmmakers will be celebrated for their exceptional work in the movie and film industry in the past year.

The 2020 edition of AMVCA will also see enthralling performances by talented vocalists Mercy Aghedo, Adeniyi Timilehin Adeola, Ighwiyisi Jacobs, and eclectic dance group Dance Na The Main Thing (DNMT) who will all give special renditions of songs nominated for the Best Soundtrack award.

The nominated soundtracks at the AMVCAs include ‘Original Gangster’ by Sess, Reminisce and Adekunle Gold, ‘Tene’ by Larry Gaga and Flavour, ‘Stay With Me’ by Ighwiyisi Jacobs, ‘The Gift’ by Mercy Aghedo, and ‘Run’ by Timzil.

Since the first edition of the AMVCAs took place in Lagos on March 9, 2013, it has become the biggest stage to celebrate African talents in film and television and this year’s event promises to be one of its best yet.
