It’s Valentine’s Day, and aside from the date nights and events planned for the day, partners are most probably going to be having a lot of sex on this day.
According to reports, Google searches for ‘best sex positions’ have gone up by a whopping 355%. Instead of intense searches on sexual positions that will work for you and your partner.
Here are a few sex positions from the SlotsUp research team to spice up your Valentine’s Day
1. Lotus sex position
If you’re in the business of gentle lovemaking with not a lot of youthful energy, this position is for you as it ‘for the mindful couple.’ This position is basically like having sex during a hug – sounds cosy, right?
The Lotus will require each partner to wrap their arms and legs around each other. The strongest person should be on the bottom and hold the weight of their partner. While the person on top should be able to use their hip and legs to grind against their partner in a slow, sensual movement.
2. The Splitting Bamboo
I know Monday was probably a stressful day for you, and you don’t have the strength, stamina, back and waist for rigorous activities, but you still want to enjoy your steamy time with your partner. Well, this is ‘for the lazy couple.’
The splitting bamboo involves the strongest partner starting in a sitting position with their partner’s legs around their waist. Once in place, the strongest partner then lifts their leg upright, with the other on their knees rocking slowly back and forth.
3. The Plough
Certain people are not on the gentle lovemaking side of the divide, and that’s okay as the plough is for the experimental couple.
This position requires one partner to lie at the end of the bed with legs hanging over the edge. Once in place, the other partner must stand, lifting the legs of the other, bringing them towards their hips, whilst moving in for penetration.
4. Catherine wheel position
If you and your partners are the adventurous types, then this sex position is for you as it allows you to explore and get closer to yourselves beyond the physical.
For this position, both partners must remain seated. Start by facing one another, lean back and manoeuvre your bodies until penetration is possible. You and your partner then need to tightly wrap your legs around one another, resting your hands on the bed for additional support. Start off with a gentle rubbing or grinding motion until a climax is reached by both partners.
5. The Bridge
Now, if neither you nor your partner are flexible or have core strength, you should probably skip this option because you might just break a bone. That doesn’t sound too sexy or appealing, does it?
Firstly, the strongest partner must create a bridge shape by bending backwards. Then the second partner must climb on top, straddling them to achieve penetration. Both partners must work together to create grinding friction to get the job done. Who knew bending over backwards for someone could be so romantic?
Whatever sex position you choose, make sure that your partner is comfortable with them, and all should go well.
