The Cannes Festival is one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world that preview movies across all genres, and for the first time since its inception in September 1946, the film festival invited a Nigerian actor. Chika Ike showed up for its opening night looking as glamourous as ever.
Chika Ike, who graced the event in a stunning green gown designed by some of Nigeria’s most innovative design team has been in the film industry since 2005 with features in blockbuster films like Paradise, Mirror of Beauty, To Love a Stranger, Girls Got Reloaded, Happy Ending, and more.
For her look, she employed the expertise of Nigerian designer Kud Collections, the designer behind some of the show-stopping outfits we saw at Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story African premiere, including dresses worn by Mercy Eke and Lilian Afegbai.
Her stylist, Swanky Jerry, paired the dress with simple gold jewellery, and her hair was neatly styled in a lower bun by Asma Hairstyle. The overall look and creative direction of the outfit were done by Muse & Minds.
