The 10th episode of the Big Brother Naija Reunion was a continuation of discussions on the friendship and love dynamics among the housemates. The main focus of this discussion was the love triangle between Saskay and her love interests – Cross and Jaypaul.
While Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye season aired, Saskay was commonly referred to as the ‘King of Boys’ for navigating her relationship with Cross and Jaypaul.
According to her, she liked both of them. Jaypaul was the sweet and forward man who chased her around the house and gave her all his attention, while Cross was perceived as the player who was into her but was still exploring his options with other female housemates.
At the beginning of the episode, a clip of Saskay’s relationship with both housemates aired, and Jaypaul expressed that despite all they shared in the house, he was hurt by the fact that Saskay dismissed him in her media rounds. In his words, “she said, ‘Who is Jaypaul?”
Saskay, on the other hand, was shocked as she said that in all her interviews, she always said that Jaypaul and her were friends. Which they both agreed they were.
However, Jaypaul felt like he had her back during his media rounds, but when she came out of the house, she didn’t have his despite attacks from her fans and family.
‘She denied me more times than Judas denied Jesus,’ Jaypaul said as he spoke about how ‘she threw him under the bus’ during her interviews. The conversation ended with both of them deciding to remain acquaintances.
Another interesting dynamic in the house was the ‘Crosskay’ ship. According to Saskay, Cross was a player, which made her careful around him.
Cross felt differently as he shared that he was 100% himself in the house and he felt played by Saskay. He said if that was her strategy, it definitely worked, and he was not mad about it.
Saskay and Cross’ friendship is damaged beyond repair as Saskay talks about how Cross’ leaked voice note of him speaking about her led to her staying away from him.
In November 2021, a leaked voice note of Cross talking about his relationship with Whitemoney, Cross, and Angel caused an uproar among BBNaija fans. Cross disclosed that he didn’t love Saskay and would instead choose Angel over her. Cross also talked about his relationship with Whitemoney and how they are not close friends.
Saskay felt he should have apologised publicly, even though he apologised privately, but Cross didn’t see the need to apologise publicly.
Cross shared that he made that statement on the voice note because of rumours after he went to see Saskay after returning from his visit to South Africa. Saskay had called him to visit her as she had something important to tell him face to face, and he did.
A few hours later, he shared that he started hearing rumours that he had visited her and had a sexual and romantic relationship with her. He also strongly believes that Saskay shared the details of his visit to her house. A claim Saskay immediately denied.
He also shared that he doesn’t want to be shipped with anyone, which is why he has rejected deals and gifts from shippers, including 20 million naira cash from Crosskay shippers.
The expression on the housemates’ faces when he said that was epic! The episode ended with Cross apologising and both of them deciding to keep their distance.
