I Dropped Out Of School To Pursue My Makeup Career – Lola Maja

Although the Nigerian beauty and cosmetic scene consists an amazing number of make-up artistes and beauty lines, women like Lola Maja are considered in a league of theirs for good reasons. Lola is popularly known for special effect makeup in Nigeria. Her role in helping the characters of The Figurine and October 1 cannot be overemphasized.

However, many people do not know that this beautiful mother of two left college by choice when she was 18 to become a makeup artist and join the first team to launch Iman Cosmetics‘ flagship counter in London. She stated this during her time on Accelerate TV’s Under The Influence.

Also in this interview, Lola Maja revealed how she acted much older when she was 14 years old so she could make-up older women who would have objected if they knew how old she really was.
