From the Real Housewives of Lagos, which followed the lives of six influential women in Lagos, highlighting their styles, family, and businesses, Showmax is back with another instalment of the franchise, with this season being on opulent women in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city.
The Real Housewives of Abuja (RHOA), which is set to debut on Showmax on February 17, 2023, follows the lives of six opulent women in Abuja – Arafa, Comfort Booth, OJ Posharella, Princess Jecoco, Samantha Homossany, and Tutupie as they navigate their lives, relationships, family, and businesses in Abuja.
With new episodes set to drop weekly following its premiere, here is all you need to know about the RHOA women.
Arafa Ukonga
Arafa Ukonga is an Abuja socialite who runs multiple businesses, including an all-female pole and sensual dance studio in Abuja. The dancer and fashion enthusiast who also owns a ready-to-wear fashion house, Selara lifestyle, a brand she wore for the exclusive premiere of The Real Housewives of Abuja, is a graduate of Theatre Arts and French with a Masters in International Relations.
The Business mogul and the creative director of Selara Lifestyle is half-Tanzanian and half-Calabar. The twin mom and wife is fluent in French, Swahili, and a bit of Hausa. She also has a twin sister who she founded a beauty company, Faces by Selara with, in June 2005.
Comfort Booth
Comfort Hauwa Booth is a lawyer, social commentator, host, and writer who has over 20 years of post-call experience working with a specialisation in corporate law and legal writing. The lawyer, who is also known as ‘Diary of a Stupid Woman’ is a columnist with the Leadership Newspapers.
The lawyer obtained her LL.B from the University of Jos and obtained her B.L. from the Nigerian Law School Bwari, Abuja. Currently, she is a partner at an indigenous law firm, Asia Ahmed and Co. Among other things, Comfort has revealed that she is a straight talker and foodie.
OJ Posharella
Ojoma Sule, also known as OJ Posharella, is an entrepreneur and the CEO of Posharella Group of Companies. The company is a flagship for numerous enterprises, including Posharella Life Foundation, Posharella Beauty, Posharella Gems, and Posharella Design.
With Posharella Life Foundation, she helps physically challenged people and malnourished children, with Posharella Gems, she designs jewelleries with precious stones and trades in gold, silver, and diamonds. With Posharella Design, she produces luxury leather goods.
Also known as the honourable minister of happiness, OJ Posharella was born in Kaduna State but hails from Kogi State. She studied Business Administration at the University of Abuja.
Princess Jecoco
Princess Umeh-Ubaka popularly known as Princess Jecoco is a lawyer, content creator, and hotelier. The brand ambassador, who is currently managing ex-BBNaija housemate Jackie B, is the managing director of the Sefcon group of hotels.
Her love for culture earned the Borno-born influencer a position as the president of Umu Asa Cultural Association, an association established for the preservation of the Igbo culture. She is married and a mother to two beautiful, energetic kids.
Princess Jecoco is a graduate of Law from the University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. She also has a Masters in Oil and Gas Law (LLM) from Robert Gordon University Aberdeen. She does not practise law currently.
Samantha Homossany
Samantha Homossany is a wellness entrepreneur and creative director of Zohi Taglit, a contemporary luxury womenswear brand. The style enthusiast who is married to an Abuja-based Israeli millionaire is also the founder of ASTA foundation, a non-profit organisation aimed at empowering vulnerable women and children.
The mother of four kids – a set of triplets and a boy was born and raised in Benue State.
Tutupie Sheriff
Tutupie is an event curator, a trained chef, and the creative director of Urban Day Party. The Borno State events organiser speaks multiple languages, including Hausa, Turkish, and basic German.
Tutupie, who is currently dating used to date veteran Nigerian actor Jim Iyke who she had been wrapped in controversies with as she had accused him of physically assaulting her.
