Lookbook: ÖFUURË’s New Collection, IGHÓ Is Not Your Average Ankara Collection

It’s Ankara Friday on Star.ng and we’re super-excited to present to you ÖFUURË‘s new Ankara collection tagged, IGHÓ – the Edo word for ‘wealth’.

The collection which was inspired by the Creative Director Tehilah Abakasanga‘s mum, Omonigho incorporates fabrics like tulle, leather and fringe with hand-sewn appliqués and some beadwork to create daring and chic pieces.

Tehilah won the AFWT (African Fashion Week Toronto) student design competition 2016 with this collection and it’s not hard to see why.
