Mary J Blige‘s estranged husband, Martin ‘Kendu‘ Isaacs has made claims that battling for money in court with the singer has been so stressful for him he was hospitalised.
In his words, he has experienced ‘physical manifestations of stress and emotional distress from this matter, which has cost him to become hospitalised.’
In the statement to the court – part of Isaacs’ effort to have the court raise Blige’s monthly spousal support from $30,000 to $65,000 – Isaacs said he’d be ‘destitute’ without the ongoing financial flow from his former wife of more than 12 years. He said it’s ‘impossible’ for him to make his rent payments, and as far as work goes, he’s ‘unemployable.’
They are slated to return to court in March.
