Michelle & Barack Obama Are On The Cover Of People Magazine’s New Issue

With just a few weeks until they say goodbye to The White House, Barack and Michelle Obama grace the cover of People Magazine and open up to the publication on their life together and last days as POTUS and FLOTUS.

In the photos shot by Cass Bird, the couple looked as beautiful and in love as ever as they nestled into each other wearing coordinated outfits.

The poster girl for elegance, Michelle went for a black long-sleeved knee-lenght dress while Barack was his usual dapper self in suit and tie.

Talking to the magazine about her reaction to Donald Trump‘s win, the first lady revealed she didn’t stay up to watch the shocking win on the night of the election. “I went to bed. I don’t like to watch the political discourse; I never have,” she said.

Michelle who was a very vocal supporter of Hillary Clinton during the campaign also revealed she still stands by everything she said on the campaign trail but that she’s willing to work with the president-elect to move their country forward. “Anything that I felt about the election I said and I stand by. Once you do what you can do, then the rest is easy. It was in the hands of the American people. This is our democracy, and this is how it works. We are ready to work with the next administration and make sure they are as successful as they can be. Because that’s what’s best for this country.”

We’ll definitely miss these two and the colour they brought to The White House.
