His new movie Detroit, set during the city’s 1967 riot is about a group of white officers who tormented a group of black men and two white women with the pretence of keeping the city safe.

Boyega revealed in his GQ cover story he got advice from Robert Downey Jr and Orlando Bloom, two of the most famous actors in Hollywood on marriage, women, fame.

“I’m not used to any of that stuff, hanging out with Iron Man on a day-to-day basis, I was just like, Bloody hell. Is this how the celebrities do?” he said.

Talking about getting a lasting and stable relationship with the nature of his job, he said:

“It’s nice to survive with your companion by your side. I’m sure it’s a good thing, he says. “But I’ve never experienced it. And people advise you as a celebrity, ‘Make sure you get someone who doesn’t care about your career.’ Mmmm…I disagree,” Boyega told Downey and Bloom. “She has to care about it to understand it.”
