More than 1000 fitness enthusiasts yesterday, defied the ominous weather to attend the maiden edition of fitness and healthy living event – The Verve Life, at the Landmark Event Centre, Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Despite the heavy rain, which started in the early hours of the day and continued till late morning, The Verve Life started right on time and had a massive turnout as early as 7am.
The fitness, fun, healthy food and living event was organized by premium lifestyle payment brand, Verve International to bring together healthy living enthusiasts, to work out together, network, simply hangout and have fun on the eve of Nigeria’s 57th independence anniversary.
A-list celebrities, alongside corporate executives and individuals from different walks of life turned up in their numbers, reflecting their passion for working out, and living healthy.
Celebrities present included International supermodel, Oluchi Orlandi, Nigerian dance queen, Kaffy, Nollywood actors Alexx Ekubo, Emmanuel Ikubuese & Brian Okwara, DJ Xclusive, Ubi Franklin and many more.
Attendees were treated to masterclasses from renowned trainers on Yoga, Martial Arts, Nutrition, Boxing strength & conditioning and Zumba. There were also interactive performances from Kaffy who was the host of the day.
There were also exciting contests with internationally certified fitness instructors that tested the fitness level of participants, with the crowd of other attendees cheering on.
Top 3 participants of these challenges from both male and female categories went home with N20, 000, N30, 000 and N50, 000 respectively courtesy of Verve International.

Arguably the biggest fitness event of the year thus far, Verve Life was a huge success and the organizers have promised to deliver an even bigger and better second edition hopefully next year.
