#RHOLagos: Toyin Lawani Proves Her Creativity With Iconic Newspaper Dress

Toyin Lawani-Adebayo is the king of fashion. When it comes to creativity and innovation, no one can outdo her. In episode three of The Real Housewives of Lagos, she shows us the behind the scenes of her latest fashion creation, The Newspaper Dress.

Reality TV star Maria Chike Benjamin modelled the dress designed from Newspapers. Toyin Lawani revealed that she was inspired to choose Maria for the shoot because she is always on the news.

‘I’m always like this girl is always on the news. The idea behind the dress is, ‘I don’t read the news, but I’m the news.’

The short dress is a sleeveless gown with a deep cut. The bottom half of the dress is made up of layers of newspaper that make the dress look like a ball gown.

Toyin Lawani paired the dress with pearl accessories which suited Maria’s skin and the overall vintage vibe of the dress. The stylist set Maria’s hair with different cans, and she paired the dress with black heels and a black belt.
