Many celebrities made strong statements with their outfits at this year’s Hollywood’s most significant night award ceremony. While serving looks, some stars showed off their love as they stepped on the red carpet in dazzling outfits with their significant others.
Here are 5 celebrity couples who made heads turn during the 2022 Oscars at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre:
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker
The power couple who shocked the world with their engagement in the past year arrived at the Oscars looking cute and chic. The couple, flaunting their love on the red carpet, wore matching outfits to the show. Kourtney Kardashian wore a vintage strapless Mugler column dress with black-and-clear heels. She also rocked a short hairdo, all sleek to the back, paired with stunning earrings. Her fiance, Barker, wore a Maison Margiela Margiela suit, paired with a silver pin and black sunglasses.
Kourtney and Baker locked lips and took some fantastic pictures on the red carpet ahead of Barker’s performance during the ceremony.
Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian
Serena and her partner brought their A-game to the Oscars as they looked incredible in black and pink.
The tennis star rocked a flowing burgundy gown with a plunging neckline and a slit on the left side. Her blondish hair is also styled in a sleek bob cut with a part in the middle. Her husband, Alexis, stunned in a black suit.
Serena served as an executive producer on the movie King Richard, which had six nominations at the Oscars including, Best Actor for Will Smith, Best Film Editing, Best Supporting Actress for Aunjanue Ellis who played Oracene ‘Brandy’ Price, Best Original Song and Best Original Screenplay. She and her older sister Venus Williams also served as presenters during the ceremony.
Jessica Betts and Niecy Nash
Singer Jessica Betts and actor Niecy Nash got married in 2022, but on the red carpet, they looked like newlyweds. The power couple rocked a complementary outfit as they turned the Oscars into their date night.
Jessica rocked a vibrant pink gown with a flattering ruffle at the top, a massive train, and a thigh-grazing slit. She also made a statement with her hair as she parted it down to the middle and twisted it at the back into a chic low bun. She finished off her stunning look with crystal-clear diamond drop earrings, a clutch purse, and a gorgeous pair of shoes. Her husband, Nash, wore a double-breasted, pale lavender suit with a white button-down shirt and a pair of white shoes.
Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher
Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher rarely attended red carpets events together; however, the acting duo broke the rules at the year’s Oscars. They both attended the award show looking stunning. Mila Kunis dazzled in a pink satin dress and a train tied to her waist while her husband rocked a classic black tuxedo with a white shirt and a black pair of shoes.
Mila was part of the presenters at the all-star ceremony.
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith wore one of the more dramatic outfits at the ceremony. Jada wowed guests as she turned up in a glamorous emerald green Jean Paul Gaultier Couture gown. She paired her outfit with Jimmy Choo heels and diamond earrings from G Jewels. Will Smith matched his spouse’s regalia with a black Dolce & Gabbana tux and complementary vest. He also accessories his tie with jewels from Cartier.
Will Smith created the highlight of the event after he took to stage to smack Chris Rock after Chris made a joke about his spouse’s hair. Smith later apologised to Chris after he received his first-ever Academy Award for his role in King Richard.
The 94th Academy Awards ceremony was held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on March 27, 2022.
