ID Africa, organisers of the Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive), has confirmed its partnership with leading multimedia production company AV Edge for the eighth edition of the conference, scheduled for Sunday, April 25, 2021.
Touted as the biggest gathering of industry professionals, NECLive8 continues seeking industry creatives solutions as it has done for the past editions. This year’s theme is aptly titled Building the Future.
The production company will work in the post-production of the content generated from the event for broader syndication.
Founded in 2003 by Omololu Durojaiye, AV Edge Limited has grown from strength to strength, delivering bespoke multimedia services to a broad range of clientele while harnessing professionals’ skills.
The venture provides cutting-edge multimedia services using the latest digital technologies. It has diversified its services to include digital video production, corporate marketing and promotion, documentaries production; multi-camera coverage of events; streaming digital videos, scriptwriting through to the voice-over, shooting, editing, and duplicating the final program.
Durojaiye has over 30 years of experience acquired across various fields such as banking, broadcasting, entertainment, and media.
He graduated from Lagos State University (LASU) with a Bachelor’s degree in English and Literature. He acquired certifications from the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) between 1993 and 1997. In 1998, he obtained a postgraduate certificate from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ). By 2011, he earned his Master’s degree in Media and Communications from the Pan African University (School of Media and Communications).
According to Durojaiye, “For years, AV Edge and the NECLive platform have enjoyed a mutual relationship crucial to the entertainment industry’s development. This year will be no different. It will be better.”
Sharing similar sentiments was the CEO of ID Africa, Femi Falodun, who said:

With this partnership, it is expected that NECLive will reach up to 20 million people around the world watching live on cable TV, other electronic channels, and streaming via NECLive’s digital channels.
Confirmed speakers at this year’s event include Nigerian comedians Basket mouth and Bovi; co-founder of Andela and Flutterwave, Iyin Aboyeji; Nollywood star Dakore Egbuson-Akande; and founder of the Temple Management Company, Idris Olorunnimbe. Media personality Bolanle Olukanni will host the event.
NECLive8 will feature a live music performance, comedy set, and live stage dramatic exhibition.
Over the span of seven years, NECLive has attracted over 12,000 physical participants and 20 million viewers and audiences on television and digital. Nigerian Entertainment Conference (often stylized as NECLive), with the hashtag #NECLive, is an umbrella conference for the entertainment industry in Nigeria, which continually discusses the trajectory development of the sector and shapes the discourse and practices surrounding it.
