It was a night with fashion’s biggest stars as they gathered to celebrate American fashion’s top talents and their achievements at the 2023 CFDA Fashion Awards.
From tennis star Serena Williams to fashion icons and actors like Anne Hathaway, the industry was ably represented as the stars showed up in style as Thom Browne curated his first event as CFDA’s chairman.
This year’s 2023 CFDA Fashion Awards was presented by Amazon Fashion at the American Museum of Natural History and hosted by Sarah Jessica Parker. Here are some of the best looks we saw on the carpet.
Anne Hathaway
Anne took it back to the Gilded Age as she wore an embellished denim two-piece from the Ralph Lauren 2024 Spring Summer women’s collection. She accessorised the outfit with the Bulgari Sapphire Lace necklace.
Serena Williams
In honour of the new chairman, Serena Williams graced the carpet in a custom-made sequinned navigator dress from Thom Browne. She paired the outfit with a drop flowery diamond necklace.
Kim Kardashian
One thing Kim never fails at is blending Victorian-era-inspired styles with modern ensembles. For this year’s CFDA, she wore a backless Chrome Hearts dress. The jacquard pencil dress was paired with clear strapped platform heels.
Lori Harvey
Lori Harvey knows how to pull off an ‘I just rolled out of bed outfit,’ and that’s exactly what she channels to the fashion event as she graced the carpet in a fur-wrapped dress from Luar. Elly, her longtime stylist, styled the outfit with the Maina American Diamond Indian necklace set.
Mary J. Blige
Mary J. Blige looked iconic in the Christian Siriano mesh dress embellished with crystal patterns. The outfit styled by Mauicia Henry was accessorised with bedazzled jewelleries from Jacob & Co.
Winnie Harlow
Speaking of Iconic, Winnie Harlow’s Marc Jacob dress was one of the iconic dresses that graced the carpet as she accentuated the Jeffrey Campbell Xandra Platform Pumps. Marc Jacob created the dress as a part of his NYFW collection, which paid homage to Vivienne Westwood.
Teyana Taylor
Every Teyana Taylor look is a fashion moment. For the CFDA, she wore an ensemble from Christopher John Roger’s ‘To Have and to Hold, a Happy Cry’ collection. Her messy bohemian braided hair complimented the chaos on her outfit.
Vanessa Hudgens
Vanessa was serving legs as she rocked the Vera Wang ball dress. She accentuated the tube dress with leather elbow-length gloves.
